Today was launch day for my debut essay collection, Be with Me Always.

In the morning I visited the Essays & Criticism section at Politics and Prose and saw it on the shelves:

In the afternoon I read that it made the top 100 in “Best Sellers in Essays” on Amazon, thanks to all of you who ordered it today and pre-ordered it earlier!

And tonight I’m going to eat some cake and watch Wuthering Heights because that’s where the title comes from (not the film, but the novel).

Be with me always – take any form – drive me mad! only do not leave me in this abyss, where I cannot find you!

And that is a very good book birthday.
